Community Involvement
MBSI has a long history of supporting our
community. Our involvement with the Modesto community is an extension of our
commitment to our employees and their families.
MBSI is known for
encouraging healthy lifestyles among its employees. We view our sponsorship of community health events as an
excellent fit with our corporate philosophy of promoting activities that help
people live longer, healthier lives. For example, MBSI is actively involved
with community events in support of the American Cancer Society. MBSI employees
participate in two key events that help raise funds and increase awareness:
Relay for Life is a 24-hour event held at Modesto High School’s track. Teams are
comprised of 12-24 walkers who take turns on the track doing laps. The event continues into the night so MBSI volunteers pitch tents
to continue the twenty-four hour event.
Strides Against Breast
Cancer is a
3-mile walk to raise breast cancer awareness in California’s capitol, Sacramento.
MBSI employees walk in honor of colleagues, friends, and family members
who battle or have battled the disease.
MBSI employees
also promote American Cancer Society awareness drives such as Breast Cancer
Awareness Month and The Great American Smoke Out.
In addition, MBSI supports a number of local charity efforts, including an annual Holiday Charity Drive.
These drives help provide local
residents with needed items for the season, such as toys, blankets, clothing,
toiletries and canned food.
