The Training and Development Department at MBSI provides a solid, basic foundation for new medical billing specialists and refresher training for our experienced medical billing staff. The goal of the Training Department Staff is to create well-rounded medical billing specialists who can transition into our dynamic team environment. The initial three-week training program offers an introduction to basic billing functions with hands-on system training. Areas of specialized training include an overview of MBSI policies and procedures, medical terminology, ICD9 and CPT4 usage as well as information on commercial insurance billing, government billing and private pay situations. We conclude our three week training program with a crucial component; MBSI’s commitment to stellar customer service.
